BASTAD, Sweden, July 9 (UPI) -- Spain's Tommy Robredo, back in competition after a long injury layoff, posted a first-round win Monday in the Swedish Open, a tournament he has won twice.

Robredo, a wild-card entrant, defeated eighth-seeded Adrian Ungur of Romania 6-4, 6-2.

The Spanish veteran won the clay-court event in 2006 and 2008

Other opening-round winners included Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic, Jurgen Zopp of Estonia and Italian Simone Bolelli, who will play top-seeded David Ferrer of Spain in his next match.
