SAN DIEGO, July 8 (UPI) -- Johnny Cueto gained his 10th win and three Cincinnati relievers shut out the Padres down the stretch Sunday in the Reds' 4-2 win over San Diego.

Cueto (10-5) allowed two runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings, walking two and striking out five to reach a double-digit win total for the third time in four years.

Sam LeCure and Sean Marshall combined for 2 1/3 scoreless frames and Aroldis Chapman earned his 11th save with two strikeouts in the ninth for the Reds, who took three victories in their four-game series at Petco Park.

Jay Bruce and Ryan Ludwick socked homers, and Brandon Phillips went 3-for-5 with an RBI for second-place Cincinnati, which entered the all-star break a game behind National League Central-leading Pittsburgh.

Jason Marquis (1-5) was touched for three runs on seven runs over a five-inning start for the Padres.

Chris Denorfia and Mark Kotsay collected RBI for San Diego.
