MILWAUKEE, July 2 (UPI) -- Norichika Aoki knocked in the go-ahead run with an eighth-inning squeeze bunt Monday, elevating the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 win over Miami.

Trailing 5-2 after 4 1/2 innings, the Brewers mounted a comeback with a Carlos Gomez solo homer in the fifth and Travis Ishikawa's two-run single in the sixth to tie the score.

Rickie Weeks led off the eighth with a double off Ryan Webb (3-2) and went to third on Martin Maldonado's single.

Randy Choate came in to pitch and Aoki, pinch-hitting for Cesar Izturis, laid down a bunt to the right of the mound as Weeks took off for the plate. Choate picked it up a fired home but catcher Brett Hayes' swipe-tag was too late.

Francisco Rodriguez (1-4) earned the win despite allowing a pair of walks in the eighth and John Axford tossed a scoreless ninth for his 14th save as the Brewers took the first of a four-game series.

Justin Ruggiano drove in four runs, including a two-run homer, as the Marlins saw their four-game winning streak snapped.
