BOSTON, June 26 (UPI) -- Dustin Pedroia's two-run single in the seventh inning put Boston ahead and the Red Sox rallied for a 5-1 victory over Toronto Tuesday.

Trailing 1-0 since the first inning, the Red Sox broke through against Jason Frasor with two outs in the seventh when Jarrod Saltalamacchia knocked a pitch over the left-field "Green Monster" at Fenway Park for the tying run.

Luis Perez (2-2) then allowed a double to pinch-hitter Ryan Kalish and Toronto's David Pauley loaded the bases by hitting Daniel Nava with a pitch and issuing a walk to Mike Aviles.

Pedroia followed by sending a sharp grounder up the middle to chase home the two go-ahead runs, and the Red Sox went on to even their three-game series.

Starter Daisuke Matsuzaka held the Blue Jays to one run over 5 2/3 innings while Andrew Miller (2-0) earned the victory by getting the final out of the seventh.

Edwin Encarnacion collected Toronto's only RBI.
