NEWARK, N.J., June 26 (UPI) -- Ex-University of Kentucky star and expected top NBA draft pick Anthony Davis said Tuesday he has trademarked unique "unibrow."
Davis told CNBC he moved to protect the marketing rights to his brow -- which stretches unbroken over both of his eyes.
"I don't want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it," Davis said. "Me and my family decided to trademark it because it's very unique."
Davis led the Wildcats to a national championship last season as a freshman and then declared for Thursday's NBA Draft in Newark, N.J., in which he is expected to be chosen No. 1 overall.
During the season, plenty of "brow" merchandise was sold in around Lexington, but the player didn't capitalize on it due to NCAA eligibility rules.
He has since signed with sport agent Arn Tellem of Wasserman Media Group to represent him, the broadcaster said.
Davis this month trademarked the phrases "Fear The Brow" and "Raise The Brow."
