ARLINGTON, Texas, June 23 (UPI) -- Wil Nieves and Dexter Fowler socked back-to-back homers Saturday, highlighting a 16-hit attack that powered Colorado to an 11-7 interleague victory over Texas.

Nieves launched a two-run blast in the fifth inning and Fowler (3-for-4) followed with a solo shot that put the Rockies ahead 11-1.

Michael Cuddyer and Tyler Colvin each chipped in two RBI as Colorado evened the three-game series.

Rex Brothers (3-2) picked up the win with two innings of shutout ball after starter Josh Outman and reliever Adam Ottavino had allowed the Rangers seven runs through five frames.

Texas starter Colby Lewis (6-6) was bombed for eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits before being knocked out after four full frames.

Nelson Cruz homered twice, driving in four runs, and Adrian Beltre went 3-for-5 with an RBI for the American League West-leading Rangers, whose seven-game winning streak was snapped.
