MILWAUKEE, June 20 (UPI) -- Corey Hart had the first of Milwaukee's three second-inning home runs, sending the Brewers off Wednesday to an 8-3 interleague over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Hart, Martin Maldonado and Carlos Gomez each hit home runs in the inning, and Ryan Braun added a two-run homer in the seventh to complete the scoring.

Milwaukee starter Yovani Gallardo (6-5) used the barrage to get the win. He allowed three runs on two walks and seven hits over 6 2/3 innings. He also struck out seven.

Joel Carreno (0-2) was victimized by the five-run second and was pulled after three innings. He allowed five hits in addition to the five runs. He walked two and struck out three.

Edwin Encarnacion connected for his 20th home run of the season in the top of the second but Hart's 15th homer of the year tied the score. After the inning's second out and a walk, Maldonado hit his home run and, after Gallardo doubled, Gomez made it 5-1.

Nyjer Morgan singled in a run for the Brewers in the fifth. Colby Rasmus doubled in one run in the Toronto seventh and Encarnacion was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded for another.

Braun negated those runs with his 20th home run of the season.
