HOUSTON, June 20 (UPI) -- Luke Hochevar fired 7 2/3 shutout innings Tuesday, staking the Kansas City Royals to a 2-0 interleague win over Houston.
Hochevar (4-7) notched his first victory since May 12 -- a span of seven starts -- controlling the Astros on five hits while overcoming four walks and striking out six.

Aaron Crow got the Royals out of a bases-loaded, two-out jam in the eighth by striking out Justin Maxwell and Jonathan Broxton earned his 17th save as Kansas City evened the three-game series.
Billy Butler cracked a solo homer in the first inning and Alcides Escobar added a run-scoring single for Kansas City.
The Astros' Wandy Rodriguez (6-5) took the loss despite yielding only two runs on six hits over seven innings.
