NEW YORK, June 19 (UPI) -- Matt Kemp leads the National League in All-Star voting but Melky Cabrera and Rafael Furcal have taken starters' positions in a voting update released Tuesday.

Kemp, a Los Angeles Dodger outfielder, totaled 3,322,009 votes in balloting to choose eight National League position players although he's currently on the disabled list.

Carlos Beltran, of St Louis, is second among outfielders in the voting but San Francisco's Cabrera passed Milwaukee's Ryan Braun, last year's league Most Valuable Player, for the third starting spot, a vote update provided by Major League Baseball indicated.

Furcal, from St. Louis, moved into the lead among shortstops, taking over the top spot from Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki, who is injured.

Cincinnati first baseman Joey Votto, Atlanta second baseman Dan Uggla, San Francisco catcher Brian Posey and New York Mets third baseman David Wright continue to lead the voting at their respective positions.

In-stadium voting concludes Friday but votes can be cast at MLB.com until 11:59 p.m. EDT June 28. The All-Star Game is July 10 at Kansas City, Mo.
