ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 17 (UPI) -- Miami's Scott Cousins drove in the go-ahead run with a 15th inning triple Saturday, handing the Marlins a marathon 4-3 interleague win over Tampa Bay.
Justin Ruggiano delivered a one-out double in the 15th against Brandon Gomes (1-2), the Rays' seventh pitcher, and Cousins followed with a line drive triple to right field, breaking a 3-3 tie.
Heath Bell struck out the side in the bottom of the frame, collecting his 14th save as Miami evened its three-game series at Tropicana Field.
Ryan Webb (3-1) earned the victory with three scoreless innings in the lengthy affair.
Jose Reyes had three hits, including a two-run single, while Cousins finished 3-for-7 in the victory.
Jose Molina provided a solo homer and drove in two runs for the third-place Rays, who fell three games behind the New York Yankees in the American League East with the loss.
