ANAHEIM, Calif., June 17 (UPI) -- Ervin Santana took a perfect game into the seventh inning Saturday and the Los Angeles Angels stifled Arizona 2-0 in an interleague contest.
Santana (4-7) didn't allow a baserunner until Justin Upton's two-out single in the seventh inning and went on to complete the 24th one-hitter in Angels history.

The right-hander allowed only one walk and struck out five in the dominating performance, tossing 61 of his 102 pitches for strikes as the Angels evened their three-game series at Anaheim.
Mark Trumbo provided the contest's only offense, cracking a two-run homer in the first inning.
Arizona's Joe Saunders (4-5) absorbed the loss, surrendering just the two runs on eight hits through six innings.
