MLB: Boston 7, Chicago Cubs 4

CHICAGO, June 17 (UPI) -- David Ortiz homered and Ryan Kalish drove in the go-ahead run for the Boston Red Sox Sunday in their 7-4 interleague victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Ortiz finished with two RBI and Kalish triggered a decisive three-run outburst in the seventh inning with a run-scoring single for the Red Sox, who claimed the rubber match of a three-game series at Wrigley Field.

Dustin Pedroia added an RBI double, and the Red Sox banged out 12 hits as they reached the .500 mark at 33-33.

Matt Albers (2-0) earned the victory in relief of Franklin Morales, who allowed two runs over five innings in a spot spot for the injured Josh Beckett.

Cubs starter Paul Maholm limited the Red Sox to three runs over six innings, but reliever Shawn Camp (2-4) was tagged with the loss after yielding two runs in the seventh.

Starlin Castro went 3-for-4 with a two RBI for Chicago, which fell to a major league-worst 22-44.
