MIAMI, June 12 (UPI) -- Clay Buchholz dominated Miami on one run over seven innings Tuesday and the Boston Red Sox edged the Marlins 2-1 in an interleague contest.

Vicente Padilla threw a scoreless eighth despite allowing a pair of hits and Alfredo Aceves collected his 15th save to close out the victory.

Boston scored both of its runs in the seventh inning on RBI from Kelly Shoppach and Mike Aviles.

Miami's Mark Buehrle (5-7) absorbed the hard-luck loss, yielding a pair of runs on five hits in a seven-inning start.
