VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 10 (UPI) -- Darren Mattocks scored two goals Sunday, lifting the Vancouver Whitecaps to a 3-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo.
Mattocks set the tone early with his first goal, which came on a volley off Lee Young-Pyo's cross before the game was 4 minutes old.

Macoumba Kandji pulled Houston (4-4-4) within a goal 7 minutes from time on a set-up from rookie Brian Ownby.
But Jordan Harvey then sealed the Whitecaps' first victory in a month with a tally 5 minutes later, snapping the Dynamo's four-game unbeaten streak.
