WASHINGTON, June 7 (UPI) -- R.A. Dickey allowed four hits and Lucas Duda hit a two-run home run Thursday in helping the New York Mets to a 3-1 win over the Washington Nationals.

Dickey (9-1) lasted 7 1/3 innings, giving up four singles while walking two and striking out eight. He's won four straight starts and picked up wins in seven consecutive decisions. His nine wins lead the major leagues.

Duda and David Wright each had two hits but the Mets spread their 10 total hits among eight players in beating Chien-Ming Wang (1-2). Wang was charged with eight hits, including the Duda home run, and walked three. He stuck out one.

Dickey allowed one hit through four innings and pitched out of a jam in the seventh when the Nationals had two on and none out.

Ryan Zimmerman broke the shutout by leading off the ninth with his third home run of the season. That came off New York closer Frank Francisco, who got the next three batters for his 15th save.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis singled to open the Mets fifth and two outs later Duda connected for his 10th home run of the year. New York added a run in the seventh when Daniel Murphy singled in Wright, who had walked and stole second.
