MLB: Tampa Bay 5, Baltimore 0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 1 (UPI) -- David Price teamed with three relievers to blank Baltimore on six hits Friday, sending Tampa Bay to a 5-0 decision over the Orioles.

Baltimore lost its sixth straight and the Rays halted a three-game skid.

Price (7-3) worked 7 1/3 innings, giving up three hits with two walks and five strikeouts. He came out of the game when right fielder Ben Zobrist misplayed a fly ball by Wilson Betemit for an error.

Jake McGee retired the only two batters he faced to finish off the eighth and, after Burke Badenhop loaded the bases on consecutive one-out singles in the ninth, Fernando Rodney came on to preserve the shutout and earn his 17th save.

Tampa Bay scored all its runs in the first against Wei-Yin Chen (4-2).

Luke Scott had a two-run single and Hideki Matsui hit a two-run homer in the first inning.
