HOUSTON, June 1 (UPI) -- Mike Leake allowed a run on four hits over seven innings Friday to keep the Cincinnati Reds rolling with a 4-1 victory over Houston.

The NL Central Division-leading Reds won for the fifth time in seven games and extended Houston's losing streak to seven.

Leake (2-5) struck out seven, winning his second straight decision after failing to pick up a win in his first seven starts.

Brandon Phillips opened the scoring with an RBI double and then came in on a single by Jay Bruce.

Bruce hit a solo homer in the ninth, his 12th home run of the campaign.
