LOS ANGELES, May 27 (UPI) --
A.J. Ellis bashed a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth Saturday, lifting the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-3 victory over Houston.
Andre Ethier was hit by a pitch from Wesley Wright (0-1) to lead off the ninth. Wilton Lopez came on to relieve Wright and pinch-hitter Scott Van Slyke sacrificed Ethier to second base.
James Loney was intentionally walked to get to Ellis, and the Dodgers catcher made Houston pay, lining a pitch from Lopez into the left field stands for a walk-off game-winner.
Kenley Jansen (4-0) was credited with the victory despite allowing a game-tying RBI double to Jason Castro in the eighth.
Tony Gwynn Jr. drove in two runs for the National League West-leading Dodgers, who snapped a two-game skid.
Jordan Schafer and Carlos Lee each drove in a run for Houston, which had won four straight coming into the contest.
