May 26, 2012 at 1:40 PM

BRUSSELS, May 26 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska beat Simona Halep in straight sets at the Brussels Open Saturday to win her third WTA title of the season.

Radwanska battled through a rugged first-set battle to claim a 7-5, 6-0 victory in a match with a combined 10 service breaks in the first set alone.

Radwanska hit her stride in the second set and did not face a break point against her serve.

The win set the stage for the French Open, which will pit Radwanska against Bojana Jovanovski in the first round and possibly U.S. star Venus Williams in the second.
