SEATTLE, May 23 (UPI) -- Matt Harrison tamed Seattle over seven-plus innings Tuesday in the Texas Rangers' 3-1 win over the Mariners.
Harrison (5-3) allowed seven hits and struck out six to notch the win and set the table for Joe Nathan's 10th save of the season.
Josh Hamilton drove in a run and Elvis Andrus knocked in two with a triple in the three-run Texas third.
Hector Noesi (2-5) took the loss, going eight innings in which he allowed three runs on three hits and fanned seven.
Justin Smoak drove in the only run for the Mariners, who had been trying to extend their five-game winning streak.
