Stenhouse dominates in Iowa Speedway win

NEWTON, Iowa, May 20 (UPI) -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. dominated Sunday, leading for 209 laps en route to a Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 Nationwide Series victory at Iowa Speedway.

Stenhouse wrapped up his third straight win at Newton, Iowa, when he held off Elliott Sadler in the closing laps and held on to collect his third triumph of 2012 and fifth of his career.

Finishing 1.5 seconds behind pole-sitter Sadler, Stenhouse increased his Nationwide Series points lead over him from 23 to 28.

Michael McDowell claimed third place after hitting Sprint Cup Series regular Kurt Busch from behind during a duel for the position.

Busch got turned around, but recovered to claim the fifth spot.

Rookie Austin Dillon was fourth.
