MLB: New York Mets 6, Toronto 5

TORONTO, May 20 (UPI) -- David Wright knocked in a pair of runs and Mike Baxter went 3-for-4 with an RBI Sunday in the New York Mets' 6-5 interleague win over Toronto.

Wright's two-run double keyed a big first inning that saw the Mets jump off to a 3-0 lead, and Baxter's run-scoring triple in the next frame put the Mets ahead 4-0.

New York banged out 12 hits in salvaging one victory from their three-game set in Canada.

Dillion Gee (3-3) limited the Blue Jays to three runs over 6 2/3 innings, overcoming four walks and five hits to post the victory.

The Mets bullpen allowed two runs before closer Frank Francisco entered to notch his 10th save despite yielding a hit and a walk in the ninth.

Jose Bautista went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI for Toronto.
