TORONTO, May 15 (UPI) -- David Price won for the fifth time in six starts Tuesday, hurling seven innings in the Tampa Bay Rays' 4-3 win over Toronto.
Price (6-2) gave up a trio early runs but then settled down to record four consecutive scoreless frames, allowing the Rays to rally for their third straight win. The left-hander yielded six hits but didn't walk a batter while striking out six.
The Rays erased a 3-1 deficit with three runs in the seventh, triggered by a Sean Rodriguez solo homer.
Joel Peralta tossed a scoreless eighth and Fernando Rodney collected his 11th save with a 1-2-3 ninth as the Rays maintained a first-place tie with Baltimore atop the American League East.
Henderson Alvarez (3-3) was touched for four runs (two earned) on 10 hits on a 6 2/3-inning start for the Blue Jays, who lost for the fourth time in five contests.
Edwin Encarnacion smacked his 12th homer for Toronto.
