CHICAGO, May 15 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera, Ryan Raburn and Austin Jackson all homered during a big sixth inning Tuesday that boosted Detroit to a 10-8 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Trailing 6-0 entering the inning, the Tigers unleashed a barrage of home runs against Chicago starter Jake Peavy and reliever Will Ohman (0-2).
Cabrera started it with a two-run shot with no outs against Peavy. After Prince Fielder (3-for-4) doubled and Brennan Boesch was hit by a pitch, Raburn then unloaded a three-run shot to pull Detroit within a run.
Peavy was pulled after issuing a walk to Jhonny Peralta. Ohman entered, hit Delmon Young with a pitch and then surrendered Jackson's go-ahead, three-run blast.
Raburn added a run-scoring single to finish with four RBI for Tigers, who split a two-game set in Chicago.
Collin Balester (2-0) earned the win in relief of Detroit starter Max Scherzer, who was bombed for six runs (five earned) on eight hits over four full innings.
A.J. Pierzynski went 5-for-5 with three RBI while Paul Konerko had three hits -- including a solo homer -- and scored three times for the White Sox.
