MLB: Pittsburgh 3, Houston 2 (12 innings)

PITTSBURGH, May 13 (UPI) -- Josh Harrison drove in the game-winning run with a 12th-inning single Sunday, handing the Pittsburgh Pirates a 3-2 comeback victory over Houston.

After Wesley Wright got the first two outs of the 12th for Houston, Fernando Rodriguez came in to pitch and Clint Barmes greeted him with a bloop double to shallow left.

Harrison, the next batter, served a single to left and Barmes beat the throw home for the winning run, which gave the Pirates the rubber match of a three-game series at PNC Park.

Tony Watson (3-0) picked up the victory with a scoreless top of the 12th.

Pittsburgh forced extra innings when Jose Tabata drew a walk from Astros closer Brett Myers, went to third on Neil Walker's double and scored on a Pedro Alvarez sacrifice fly.

Bucs starter A.J. Burnett yielded two runs on six hits in an eight-inning performance, issuing no walks and striking out four.

Wandy Rodriguez pitched well but got a no-decision for Houston, surrendering only one run on three hits over eight frames while fanning seven.
