Del Moral shoots 63 to lead Madeira Open

MADEIRA, Portugal, May 12 (UPI) -- Carlos Del Moral shot a sizzling 63 Saturday to take the lead by three strokes at the Madeira Islands Open in Portugal.

Del Moral's nine-under round boosted him to the top of the leader board with a three-round score of 17-under 199, three shots ahead of second-place Joakim Lagergren.

Lagergren, who started the day in second, finished with a two-under 70 Saturday. Second-round leader Oliver Wilson shot par but slipped to third place with a 203 for the tournament.

Del Moral's round was not marred by any bogeys and included six birdies on the front nine and birdies on the final three holes.
