MLB: Miami 4, Houston 0

HOUSTON, May 7 (UPI) -- Miami's Carlos Zambrano tossed a three-hit shutout Monday and the Marlins notched their seventh straight win with a 4-0 whitewash of Houston.

Zambrano (1-2) earned his first win as a Marlin after coming to the team in a January trade with the Chicago Cubs. The right-hander allowed one walk and struck out nine while tossing 68 of his 109 pitches for strikes.

Giancarlo Stanton ripped a two-run homer in the fourth inning. John Buck and Hanley Ramirez added solo shots for the Miami, which has won all seven games during its streak on the road.

Houston's Wandy Rodriguez (3-3) yielded four runs on six hits over eight frames, walking two and fanning two.
