DALLAS, May 5 (UPI) -- James Harden pumped in 29 points Saturday and the Oklahoma City Thunder swept defending NBA champ Dallas out of the playoffs with a 103-97 win.
Harden keyed a late Thunder rally by netting 15 of his points in the fourth quarter. Kevin Durant added 24 and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma City, which completed a 4-0 Western Conference quarterfinal series sweep of the Mavericks.
Russell Westbrook provided 12 points, six assists and five rebounds as second-seeded Oklahoma City advanced to face the winner of the Los Angeles Lakers-Denver Nuggets series.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points and Jason Kidd added 16 with eight assists and seven boards, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Mavericks from becoming the first NBA champs to be swept in the first round since the 2007 Miami Heat.
