THE WOODLANDS, Texas, May 5 (UPI) -- Fred Funk and Tom Lehman finished the second round knotted for the Insperity Championship lead Saturday, one stroke ahead of the competition.

Funk forged a tie with playing partner Lehman thanks to a birdie the 18th hole of The Woodlands Country Club, carding a 3-under-par 69.

Lehman, meanwhile, birdied the 17th hole, recovering from a bogey on No. 16 to finish Round 2 with a 2-under 70 and tying Funk atop the leaderboard at 9-under 135.

That was one shot better than Mike Goodes (67) and Brad Bryant (68), each of whom fell out of the lead due to Saturday miscues.

Tied for fifth place at minus-7 were Bobby Clampett (67) and Michael Allen (68).
