Lehman leads on Champions Tour

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, May 4 (UPI) -- Tom Lehman fired a 7-under 65 Friday despite suffering a bogey on the final hole, and seized a one-shot advantage after one round of the Insperity Championship.

Lehman played the first six holes of the back nine at the Woodlands Country Club in 5-under and wound up one stroke in front of Tom Jenkins and Fred Funk.

The large group tied for fourth at 68 included Bernhard Langer, John Cook, David Peoples, John Huston, David Eger, Loren Roberts Rod Spittle, Brad Bryant and defending U.S. Senior Open champion Olin Browne.

Defending champion Brad Faxon fired a 2-under 70.

This year's tournament will be highlighted Saturday by an exhibition round featuring Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino.
