STUTTGART, Germany, April 29 (UPI) -- Maria Sharapova fired eight aces Sunday on her way to a 6-1, 6-4 win over top-ranked Victoria Azarenka for the title of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix event.

The second-ranked Russian needed less than 90 minutes to gain revenge on Azarenka, who had easily bested her in this year's Australian Open final as well as in the championship match of the Indian Wells event.

Sharapova's victory in Stuttgart, Germany, was the 25th of her career. It gave her at least one singles championship every year since 2003 and netted her a white Porsche 911 Carrera in addition to the $115,000 first-place prize.

The Belarus star fell to 5-4 all-time against Sharapova.
