Qualifier Bertens wins Moroccan Grand Prix

FES, Morocco, April 28 (UPI) -- Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands capped the best week of her career Saturday by winning the Moroccan Grand Prix tennis championship.

Bertens beat Laura Pous-Tio of Spain 7-5, 6-0 to notch her first WTA title.

Bertens was among the tournament qualifiers but lost just one set during the entire week.

Bertens double-faulted twice and won just 46 percent of her second-serve points in the first set but roared back in the second by winning 80 percent of her second-serve points and 80 percent of first-serve points.
