RICHMOND, Va., April 28 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch held off Dale Earnhardt Jr. down the stretch Saturday to claim his fourth consecutive spring event at Richmond International Raceway.
Busch earned his first victory in 21 Sprint Cup Series races after beating then-leader Tony Stewart out of the pits to take the top position following a late-race caution.
Earnhardt then moved into second place after the final restart with nine laps but couldn't quite overcome Busch. Instead, he finished 1 second off the pace to continue a Sprint Cup winless streak dating back nearly four years.
Stewart ended up settling for third place, while Denny Hamlin and Kasey Kahne rounded out the Top 5.
