MEMPHIS, April 26 (UPI) -- Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay combined to make 16-of-24 shots Thursday in carrying the Memphis Grizzlies to an 88-76 decision over Orlando.
The Grizzlies ended the regular season by winning six in a row and wrapped up home-court advantage in their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. That series will get underway Sunday.
Orlando limped into the playoffs with six losses in its last 10 games since losing Dwight Howard for the season due to back surgery. The Magic will enter the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference and will take on Indiana beginning Saturday.
Gasol scored 22 points and Gay had 20. Memphis held Orlando to nine points in the opening period, during which the Magic made only 3-of-16 from the field.
Orlando, which rested its regular starters, was led by 18 points from Hedo Turkoglu.
