ANAHEIM, Calif., April 22 (UPI) -- Nick Markakis drove in the go-ahead run with a 10th-inning single Sunday and the Baltimore Orioles pulled out a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
Robert Andino led off the 10th with a walk off LaTroy Hawkins (0-1), went to second on an Endy Chavez sacrifice and to third on J.J. Hardy's groundout.
Markakis then hit a sharp grounder to the right of second base that glanced off the glove of a diving Howie Kendrick, scoring Andino with the go ahead tally.
Markakis finished with three RBI and Pedro Strop (2-1) got the victory despite allowing Los Angeles to tie the game in the eighth on Kendrick's solo homer.
Jim Johnson earned his seventh save with a scoreless bottom of the 10th and the Orioles salvaged one victory in their three-game set against the Angels.
Alberto Callaspo went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Los Angeles.
