NBA: Washington 86, Miami 84

MIAMI, April 21 (UPI) -- Nene netted the go-ahead points on a layup with 0.5 seconds remaining Saturday and the Washington Wizards edged short-handed Miami 86-84.

Nene used assists from John Wall to score each of Washington's final two baskets, enabling the Wizards to snap a six-game losing streak against Miami.

The Heat's Udonis Haslem had tied the game with a resounding dunk off Mario Chalmers' missed layup with 4.2 seconds left.

Miami was playing without Dwyane Wade -- lost to a dislocated left index finger early in the first quarter -- as well as LeBron James and Chris Bosh, who were being rested in the run-up to the playoffs.

Chalmers and Mike Miller led the Heat with 16 points apiece.
