CHICAGO, April 21 (UPI) -- Luol Deng and Richard Hamilton combined for 41 points Saturday and the Chicago Bulls moved closer to a post-season top seed with a 93-83 win over Dallas.

Deng netted 22 points, Hamilton added 19 and Derrick Rose returned from an injury absence with 11 and eight assists for Bulls, who increased their lead over Miami to 2 1/2 games in the Eastern Conference with two games to play.

Chicago is looking to clinch the East's No. 1 seed after seeing their lead over the Heat dwindle during the past two months as Rose was hampered by a series of injuries.

The Mavericks, tied with Denver for the sixth seed in the Western Conference, were led by Dirk Nowitzki with 17 points.

Jason Terry and Jason Kidd were rested in the second game of back-to-back contests for the Mavs.
