TORONTO, April 18 (UPI) -- Luke Scott finished off a Tampa Bay home run assault with a grand slam Wednesday, powering the Rays to a 12-2 victory over Toronto.
Scott's slam came during a six-run ninth inning and followed a two-run homer by Ben Zobrist in the first and solo shots by both Matt Joyce and Sean Rodriguez in the sixth. Both Scott and Joyce have hit three homers this season.
Tampa Bay produced its dozen runs on just 10 hits and climbed back to .500 in its 12 games this season.
David Price (2-1) took advantage of the offensive onslaught to pick up the victory, going 5 2/3 innings while giving up two runs on eight hits.
Brandon Morrow (0-1) was roughed up for six runs on eight hits in six innings. The Blue Jays had won their previous two games.
