ATLANTA, April 17 (UPI) -- Tyler Pastornicky's two-run double keyed a big second inning Tuesday that carried the Atlanta Braves to a 9-3 win over the New York Mets.

Atlanta led 1-0 entering the frame and quickly doubled the advantage when Dan Uggla led off with a walk, Matt Diaz singled and Freddie Freeman blooped a run-scoring double. Pastornicky followed by slicing a hit down the first-base line, scoring a pair, and the Braves pushed across two more runners to complete the five-run uprising.

Freeman finished with two RBI for Atlanta, which evened its three-game set with the Mets.

Randall Delgado (2-0) earned the victory, allowing three runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings, with three walks and five strikeouts.

New York starter Johan Santana (0-2) lasted only 1 1/3 innings. The left-hander surrendered six runs (four earned) on four hits.

Daniel Murphy had two hits and an RBI for New York.
