NBA: Miami 101, New Jersey 98

NEWARK, N.J., April 16 (UPI) -- LeBron James pumped in 37 points Monday, including Miami's final 17 in the Heat's 101-98 victory over New Jersey.

James' late performance allowed the Heat to grab the lead at 97-96 with 51 seconds remaining and Miami hung on to shake off the pesky Nets and win its third straight.

James had seven assists and six rebounds while Chris Bosh helped overcome the absence of Dwyane Wade with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Wade was held out to rest his troublesome right ankle.

Kris Humphries fired in 29 points and MarShon Brooks added 24 for New Jersey, which was without Deron Williams due to a calf injury.
