NBA: Memphis 103, Utah 98

MEMPHIS, April 14 (UPI) -- Rudy Gay netted 26 points and O.J. Mayo got hot down the stretch Saturday, sparking the Memphis Grizzlies to a 103-98 victory over Utah.

Gay grabbed 12 rebounds and Mayo fired in 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies outscored the Jazz 33-22 in the final period.

Marc Gasol chipped in with 17 points and nine rebounds while Mike Conley also notched 17 points for Memphis, which won for the fifth time in six games.

The Grizzlies hold the fifth spot in the Western Conference.

Devin Harris and Al Jefferson each struck for 20 points in Utah's loss.

The Jazz lost their second straight, putting them two games behind Denver and Houston in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.
