MLB: St. Louis 9, Milwaukee 3

MILWAUKEE, April 8 (UPI) -- Shane Robinson and Carlos Beltran combined for six hits and five RBI Sunday in the St. Louis Cardinals' 9-3 victory over Milwaukee.

Robinson went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and Beltran also finished 3-for-5 with a two-run shot for the Cardinals, who took the rubber match of a three-game series.

Rafael Furcal added three hits, including an RBI single, and Matt Holliday went 2-for-4 with a run-scoring double as St. Louis banged out 14 hits.

Lance Lynn (1-0) picked up the victory in only this third major league start, holding the Brewers to one run on two hits over 6 2/3 innings while walking one and fanning eight.

Randy Wolf (0-1) yielded three runs on nine hits over five frames for Milwaukee.

Ryan Braun and Corey Hart each knocked solo homers in the Brewers' loss.
