WINNIPEG, Manitoba, April 7 (UPI) -- Teddy Purcell completed a hat trick by scoring 1:07 into overtime Saturday, giving Tampa Bay a 4-3 victory over Winnipeg.

Steven Stamkos reached the 60-goal mark for the Lightning, who finished the season out of the playoffs with 84 points after reaching 103 and reaching post-season play a year ago. The Jets completed their first season in Winnipeg.

Purcell scored the game's first two goals late in the opening period and early in the second. Stamkos gave Tampa Bay a 3-1 lead 3:29 into the third, but a pair of goals from Jim Slater rallied the Jets.

Stamkos led the NHL this season with his career-best 60 goals, 10 more than were scored by Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin.

Stamkos also was No. 1 in NHL goal scoring two years ago when he had 51.

Dwayne Roloson got the win with 28 saves. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 21 shots for the Jets.
