UNIONDALE, N.Y., April 5 (UPI) -- Michael Grabner scored his second goal of the final period with 47 seconds remaining Thursday to give the New York Islanders a 5-4 win over Winnipeg.

Grabner produced a goal on a penalty shot with 8:15 remaining to put the Islanders in front 4-3 but Dustin Byfuglien tied it less than a minute later.

Grabner deflected a shot by Travis Hamonic for the game-winner, allowing the Islanders to end a three-game losing streak.

Kyle Okposo also scored twice for the Islanders, one in each of the first two periods to run his season total to 23.

The Jets never led, but came from behind three times to tie it. They overcame an early 2-0 deficit on goals from Tobias Enstrom and Andrew Ladd to bring about a 2-2 deadlock after the opening period.

Al Montoya made 21 saves for New York and Chris Mason turned aside 23 shots for the Jets.
