MONTREAL, April 4 (UPI) -- Eric Cole and Max Pacioretty both had two goals Wednesday in boosting the Montreal Canadiens to their first win in five tries, 5-2 over Tampa Bay.

Cole put the Canadiens in front for good at 2-1 early in the second period, scoring on a slap shot, and then delivered a power-play goal late in the stanza.

After Tampa Bay closed within 3-2 on a score from Bruno Gervais 3:42 into the third, Pacioretty delivered back-to-back goals to clinch the victory.

The victory went to Peter Budaj, who was called on to make just 14 saves. Sebastien Caron allowed all the Montreal goals on 25 shots.
