The top four seeds in each conference host the first round of the playoffs, with Pittsburgh most likely to meet the Flyers.

Brent Johnson earned the victory with 26 saves.

Boston, which has clinched the East's second seed, got goals from Rich Peverley, Benoit Pouliot and Milan Lucic.

Marty Turco turned aside 22-of-27 shots for the Bruins.
