OTTAWA, April 3 (UPI) -- Cam Ward had a shutout until 13.5 seconds were left in the game Tuesday and finished with 38 saves in the Carolina Hurricanes' 2-1 win over Ottawa.
Ward had shut the door on the Senators until Jason Spezza scored on a Colin Greening pass in the waning seconds, but then went on to wrap up his 29th victory of the year.
Brandon Sutter and Tuomo Ruutu provided the offense for Carolina, which won for just the second time in six games.
Craig Anderson allowed two goals on 31 shots for the playoff-bound Senators, who saw their four-game winning streak snapped.
