OKLAHOMA CITY, April 1 (UPI) -- Russell Westbrook
scored 27 points and Kevin Durant
added 26 Sunday, propelling the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 92-78 rout of Chicago.
The two Thunder stars combined to go 21-of-34 from the field and helped the Western Conference leaders pull to within a game of the East-leading Bulls in the race for the NBA's best record.
The pair amassed their totals while playing only three quarters. They sat on the bench during the final frame after the Thunder had established a 29-point lead.
Kyle Korver scored 14 for Chicago, which managed only 33 percent shooting in the absence of injured point guard Derrick Rose.
The reigning NBA MVP missed a 10th straight game with a groin pull.
