NBA: Los Angeles Lakers 88, New Orleans 85

March 31, 2012 at 6:41 PM   |   Comments

LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 20 seconds left Saturday, boosting the Los Angeles Lakers to an 88-85 win over New Orleans.

Bryant shook off one of the poorer shooting performances of his career to drain the key shot for the Lakers, who used it to record their fourth win in six games.

The Los Angeles superstar connected on only three of his 21 shots from the floor during the contest, finishing with 11 points.

The Lakers sealed the win when Pau Gasol blocked a potential score-tying 3-point try by New Orleans' Jason Smith at the buzzer.

Gasol finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Andrew Bynum added 19 and 10.

Smith provided 17 points and 10 rebounds for New Orleans.
