March 31, 2012 at 11:37 PM

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 31 (UPI) -- Will Bynum forced overtime with a late 3-pointer Saturday and the Detroit Pistons went on to record a 110-107 victory over Charlotte.

Bynum's shot came with 15.7 seconds remaining in regulation and Jonas Jerebko sank a key basket with 50.5 seconds to go in the extra frame for the Pistons.

Tayshaun Prince then hit two free throws for a three-point advantage, and Detroit held on as Byron Mullens and Reggie Williams each came up short on potential score-tying treys for the Bobcats.

Prince finished with 24 points, Jerebko added 18 and Bynum logged 17 for the Pistons, who notched their third win in four contests.

The Bobcats, meanwhile, fell for the seventh straight time despite 20 points from Mullens.
